SHOOTING TEST GUIDELINE

WEAPON HANDLING AND SHOOTING ASSESSMENT.
WEAPONS SAFETY MEASURES

ü  ALL WEAPONS SHALL BE HANDLED AS IF THEY ARE LOADED.
ü  KEEP YOUR WEAPON IN THE HOLSTER UNTILL THE INSTRUCTOR GIVES YOU A COMMAND.
ü  NEVER POINT A WEAPON TOWARD SOMETHING UNLESS YOU MEAN TO USE IT.
ü  ALWAYS KEEP THE FINGER OUTSIDE THE TRIGER GUARD UNTILL THE WEAPON IS AIMED AND CENTERD AT THE TARGET AND READY TO SHOOT.
ü  IN CASE OF ANY MALFUNCTTION DURING SHOOTING, KEEP THE WEAPON AIMED TO THE TARGET, AND RAISE UP YOUR HAND FOR ASSISTANCE.
 Weapon handling and shooting assessment

This part of the test consists of three phases:

Phase one (disassembling and reassembling the weapon in 5 mins).
Phase two (shooting from 5 meters distance dragging the weapon from the holster)
Phase three (shooting from 7 meters in low ready position).

                                               COMMANDES
Phase one:

Disassemble your weapon NOW
Notice ( when the officer raise his/her hand as he/she finished, instruct him/her to reassemble the weapon)

Phase two:

-         Fill the magazine with five rounds.
-         Put your ears protector on
-         Load you weapon, secure /decoke, and reholster.
-         Fire   (12345) stop ….. fire (12345)  stop
-         Unload your weapon, secure it, and reholster with out the magazine.    


Phase three:

-          Fill the magazine with five rounds.
-         Put your ears protector on
-         Load you weapon, secure /decoke, and take low ready position.
-         Fire (  12345) stop    fire (12345)  stop
-         Unload your weapon, secure it, and reholster with out the magazine.  

Hint

You can count 5 seconds with out looking in your watch by whispering (1001-1002-1003-1004-1005).
This way you can observe the fire line and discover any abnormal matter (malfunction of weapon – cheating …etc)


ANNEX 6
HANDLING OF WEAPONS AND
SHOOTING ASSESSMENT


PHASE 1


Disassemble and Reassemble of the pistol within Five (5) minutes. If a revolver is being used, then safe cleaning of the revolver in 5 minutes.



PHASE 2



Shooting Distance

Five meters, with the weapon in the holster ready for duty. One shot, five times, drawing the firearm from the holster each time on signal from instructor.


Shooting time

Five seconds. After each shot the weapon is to be re-holstered.


Target size


45 x 45 cm

Minimum passing level

Four rounds on the target



PHASE 3


Shooting Distance

Seven meters, with the weapon in the ready position. One shot, five times, each shot on signal from the instructor.


Shooting time

Five seconds. After each shot the weapon is returned to the ready position.


Target size

45 x 45 cm


Minimum passing level
